  • Known as 'daisy bush' because the shrub becomes covered in clusters of small white daisy-like flowers.
  • It is the hardiest of all olearias, surviving in exposed coastal gardens where salt spray kills most plants.
  • Named for Julius von Haast, the German-born geologist who explored and mapped much of New Zealand's Southern Alps.
